Bon Appetit! and A Dinner Engagement (2021)

Bon Appetit! was an opera that recreated an episode of The French Chef with Julia Child. In an attempt to recreate the look from her show and make it look more professional, I used a cooler color palette. The second half of this performance was A Dinner Engagement, a comedic romance that happens in the Dunmow family kitchen. Because this performance utilized a unit set, I chose a warm palette for the second half to help the kitchen feel like a completely different place. This was performed during the COVID-19 pandemic and live-streamed for audiences.
